Mahncke Park

About

Situated on the eastern fringe of Midtown San Antonio, Mahncke Park is an urban neighborhood that was named after Ludwig Mahncke, San Antonio’s first Park Commissioner who was appointed in 1896.

Several of its many cultural attractions include Brackenridge Park, San Antonio Botanical Gardens, and the San Antonio Zoo.

Real Estate

Most of the homes in Mahncke Park give off a historic vibe as they were construction from the 1920s to 1950s. The average size home in the area is between 1,000 and 2,000 square feet.

Schools

Although Mahncke Park is zoned for the San Antonio Independent School District, which is the third largest school district in Bexar County, many children attend private and religious schools.
